What should I wear to my physiotherapy appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose‑fitting clothing that allows easy movement and access to the area being treated — for example shorts for lower‑limb issues or a loose T‑shirt for shoulder/back concerns. This helps us assess movement and treat you effectively.
Do I have to be a member of Castle Country Club to book?
No — you do not need to be a member to have treatment at Total Physio Clinic. While Castle Country Club members can use the facilities as part of their visit, non‑members are also welcome and can access a changing rooms and treatment space during their appointment.
How long will each session last?
Your first appointment usually lasts 45–60 minutes. This gives us time to take a detailed history, assess your movement and function, and begin personalised treatment. Follow‑up sessions typically last 20–30 minutes but can be double booked to create a longer session if needed.
What will happen at my first consultation?
Your first visit begins with listening to your story — how symptoms started, what makes them better/worse, and how they affect your life. We then perform a thorough physical assessment tailored to your issue, share our understanding of the cause, and discuss a treatment plan to help you progress towards your goals.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person, depending on the nature of your condition and your goals. Some people benefit from just one session, while others may prefer ongoing support over several weeks or months. Our aim is always to help you recover efficiently and give you the tools you need to manage and prevent symptoms long‑term.
What should I do when I arrive at Castle Country Club?
When you arrive, enter through the main entrance of the country club and check in at the bar. Let the team know you’re here for a physiotherapy appointment, and we will be informed — then your therapist will come and meet you and take you to the treatment room.
Do you accept private health insurance?
At this time we do not accept private health insurance payments directly. All consultations are self‑funded. If you’re unsure about payment options, contact us and we can explain what’s involved.
